Applicants and participants in the Domestic Renewable Heat Incentive scheme may apply under the scheme to register for the Metering and Monitoring Service Package (MMSP). The MMSP works like a service contract and is a useful way of checking how well your heating system is performing. If participants are successful in registering their MMSP, they will get paid extra per quarter towards its costs. For heat pumps this quarterly payment is £57.50.
There is a budget limit which allows only a certain number of MMSP registrations each year. This is approximately 2,500 in the first year and around 10,000 each year after that. Ofgem will publish reports on their website on how many MMSP packages have been installed.
If the participant would like to register a MMSP, they will need to enter into an Agreement with a Certified Installer that contains the information set out in THIS Model Agreement.
Please be aware that the Model Agreement will be reviewed and updated from time to time. Please check back here for the most up to date version of the Agreement.
