The Government recently announced that responsibility for the Consumer Codes Approval Scheme (CCAS) will pass from the Office of Fair Trading to the Trading Standards Institute (TSI) on 1 April 2013. As part of its preparations for taking over TSI has issued a consultation setting out proposals for some amendments to the ‘core criteria’ that underpin the CCAS. The deadline for responses is 14 December 2012.
